Glass Spider

The Spider was created in 2006 for an exhibition and workshop at the Museum of Contemporary Art, in Ibirapuera Park. Using an empty perfume bottle, its legs looked like real, beautiful and playful joints.

The Glass Spider: Art for all the Senses

At 4 by 1.5 meters, the spider attracted people of all ages. It drew smiles from children as they played with it. The youngsters had a sparkle in their eyes, as if they were passing through fairy tales and coming into contact with the surprise that this work of art brought. Meanwhile, the adults contemplated its beauty. In addition, everyone had the opportunity to handle this material, making everything from a brooch to a musical instrument.
