DEBORA MUSZKAT

Glass Globe

Glass Globe (or Ball) is an installation created by Debora Muszkat in 2008, made from approximately 800 perfume bottles with factory defects, fixed to a spherical metal structure measuring 2 meters in diameter. The work proposes a sensorial and symbolic immersion in the logic of transformation: glass that would otherwise be discarded is reborn as circular, reflective and interactive art.

It's a sphere of reconnection: between the inside and the outside, between what is thrown away and what can shine again.

By inviting the public to enter its sphere of transparency and reflections, the work becomes an immersive experience about consumption, reuse and beauty. Each bottle gains new meaning, evoking memories, desires and invisible layers of the throwaway society.
