Glass Diamond
Installation created by Debora Muszkat, which combines sculpture, video art and public participation around the transformation of glass as a symbol of value, fragility and resistance. First assembled in 2014, in Ibirapuera Park (SP), the installation involved the public in its construction and featured the artistic participation of photographer Gal Oppido and multimedia artist Guto Lacaz.
Collective jewel: between light, image and transformation
With an iron structure measuring 1.5 meters and 2 meters high, the diamond received video projections and also shone on the international stage: it was selected for the Florence Biennale (2015), where it received an award as one of the best works of the year.
The work was carried out with support from the ProAC/SP Incentive Law and sponsorship from Wheaton do Brasil, a glass company. A glass diamond, molded from industrial waste, becomes a collective jewel — between light, image and transformation.
