DEBORA MUSZKAT
Fashion, desire and expression: where art and body meet

Dressing is also creating worlds

In the work of Debora Muszkat, glass goes beyond sculpture and invades the territory of clothing, presence and skin. Here, fashion is more than aesthetics: it is a manifesto, creative freedom and the language of the body in movement.
A transdisciplinary artist, Debora moves between worlds with ease. For her, there are no boundaries between art, design, fashion or functionality. If something touches her, if it is part of her universe of desire, then it is material to create. Her clothing pieces and accessories do not follow trends: they evoke their own mythologies, archetypal beings, urban gods and glass mermaids. They are wearable sculptures that shine, reverberate and transform the gaze.

Enchantment and reinvention on the skin

In the words of curator Marcus Lontra, "Debora Muszkat creates deities in a mythology of extreme refinement, represented on mannequins as benevolent gods who come to rescue humanity by scattering stardust." Fashion, in her work, becomes a channel of enchantment and provocation, a means of expanding the field of art beyond the museum, to the body, to the street, to the present.
The pieces are created with recycled glass, either melted, polished or kept in its raw form — in a gesture that combines sustainability and artisanal sophistication. In partnership with creative communities, Debora also transforms this process into inclusion, generating income, collective work and belonging within the creative economy.
