Sculptures and 25 drawings made between 1984 and 2005, some depicting artists such as Luiz Melodia and Wesley Duke Lee. Debora Muszkat created the portraits from film footage, using the images captured by the camera as sketches for the drawings.
Lines that reveal the Essence
Since drawing is the artist's aerobics, I can say that Debora Muszkat is an Olympic athlete.
While the sculptures and assemblages of this artist, who is completely immersed in the creative universe, possess a remarkable exuberance, it is in her drawings that we find the common thread that, in her work, unites everything and gives meaning to everything.
His restless and inquisitive spirit shines through vividly in his nervous and hurried "scribbles," which seem to want to run beyond the dimensions of the sheet of paper he uses as a support.
A dedicated disciple of masters of the caliber of Wesley Duke Lee, she captured in her drawings revealing dimensions of inner worlds that only a deep and inquisitive gaze can detect. Proof of this are her portraits, which, even in their two-dimensionality, convey the same sensations that we observe with the passage of time, mosaics that are part of the personality of each person portrayed.
In this small sample of his talent, we observe the conversation that erupts in the simultaneous presence of portraits and his erotic drawings, the latter being nothing more than something that goes beyond a "portrait," since they seem more like true X-rays of the human soul.
It is worthwhile to delve deeper into the intricacies that make up the magical world defined by the work of this Artist, surprising in every detail.
Enjoy!
