DEBORA MUSZKAT

Reflections of Inevitable

Created in 2019, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the series “Reflections of the Inevitable” marks a sensitive and existential dive by the artist Debora Muszkat in her studio in Denmark. Over seven months of intense research with mirrors, wood and color, Debora artistically reconstructed what had been dismantled: 45 panels from the previous installation The Wave of Life were dismantled and transformed into a new visual and symbolic landscape.

Fragments that come together to reveal the whole

The process — between dismantling and reinvention — reflects the very logic of the universe, as defined by the artist: forms that disintegrate in order to reintegrate, generating new configurations that mirror nature, the environment and the human being as a single organism. The work, therefore, is a glassy and poetic reflection on the collective experience of the pandemic and the inevitable transformations it has imposed on us.
